WHO NEEDS PR? 

In a word, EVERYONE. Every company needs good Public Relations. Every individual engaged in any public activity - from commerce to politics - needs good Public Relations.

The Institute of Public Relations defines PR as

"The deliberate, planned and sustained effort to establish and maintain mutual understanding between an organisation and its publics."

We agree, and go further. We believe that the practice of good Public Relations is the practice of corporate good manners. That is ensuring that the right information is issued to the right people in the right way at the right time.

Every communication requires a transmitter and a receiver, an originator and an audience. In fact there are three aspects of every single communication. These are the Message, the Audience and the Medium (MAM). A neat little Acronym to remind us that if we know what the message is, and we know who the audience is, then we should be able to select the ideal medium.

As Public Relations Consultants we are able to help formulate the Message, to identify the Audience and to select the most appropriate Medium. We can identify these facets more clearly than our client because we are bringing fresh minds and a new vision to the communications task.

We do not believe in, or practice, 'Spin'. This is an unpleasant late twentieth century device beloved of politicians and their cronies. It is best left to them. Misinformation and untruths will always come back to haunt you.
