WHO ARE WE?
We are a small specialist Public Relations Consultancy. Our areas of expertise include Media Relations, Documentation, Training, and Special Events. However, we have the resources to do whatever our clients might need in publicity terms.
The founding partners are Doreen Pooley and Mike Rockliffe-King. We have been working together in consultancy for nearly four years. We started ROCKLIFFE COMMUNICATIONS in the autumn of 2001.

Doreen is an Engineer by training. Her working life started with an apprenticeship with BAe. Through a progression of high-tech posts she gained a very high reputation for her Technical Customer Services expertise. She enjoys encountering new technologies and brings her 'engineering' brain to bear on every project. |

Mike started in Public Relations in 1965. He worked for various consultancies - each larger than the one before - until he joined the world-renowned Planned Public Relations. After three years with them, involved in Special Events and Product Launches, he established his own consultancies. Latterly he has been involved in training, education and special events. |
The greatest benefit from our clients' point of view is our understanding. We get to the heart of technical matters, and then write clearly and accurately about them. Indeed this is reflected in the nature of the business on our client list - from Off-shore Wave Energy to Glass recycling, from recycled Industrial Plastics to high-tech Piling.
We are discreet. In fact we insist on an exchange of Confidentiality Agreements before we start work for anyone. Nor will we take on clients with actual or potential conflicts of interest.
We are also modest. We always seek to promote our clients and not ourselves. We prefer our clients to be well known, rather than to be seen as companies with well-known PR Consultants.
